Pebble supports three types of project activity, allowing staff to capture and evaluate learning across different contexts.

1 - External Live Projects connect students with industry, community or external partners to work on real-world briefs. These projects provide authentic experience, helping students develop professional skills while contributing to real outcomes. 2 - Internal Collaborative Projects bring together students, courses or departments within the institution. They encourage cross-disciplinary working and mirror real-world collaboration across different roles and skillsets. 3 - In-Class / Quick Log Activity allows staff to quickly capture everyday practical tasks and techniques already happening in delivery — such as site visits, competitions, guest speakers or induction activities — without needing to reframe them as full projects. Across all project types, learning is captured through structured evaluation, providing clear evidence of student development, outcomes and educational gain.
